The creation of My Music! Class is ELTMA’s (Enriching Lives Through Music Assoc.) response to the need for providing music lessons to very young and specially challenged children during the COVID 19 Pandemic that has affected people worldwide.  Education, as we have known it, continues to change, and that includes our school music classes.  In order for these children to learn music through a social, fun, and engaging medium during times of social isolation, potential school program cuts, and stay home shelter periods,  ELTMA has created a virtual music class series. Classroom teachers may utilize this series with their students. Additionally, parents/guardians & families can enjoy it with their children at home.  For a small donation and optional purchase of My Music! Class Play Kit, young children everywhere have the opportunity to benefit from learning music throughout the school year!

My Music! Class is a virtual music class series created for young children, ages 3-7, including elementary children from Special Education classes (ages 5 – 10).  

For 2020 – 2021, ELTMA  presents “The Seasons”, three series with a total of 22 music video lessons:

1^st Series, My Music, Summer Fun!

2^nd Series, Fall Fun & Winter Holidays!

3^rd Series, Springtime Fun!

Through MUSIC Play, each child will Discover, Learn, Develop, and Apply 

• The basics of singing on pitch, in rhythm, and with the steady beat.
• Singing alone and with video accompaniment the melody line, harmony line, and in a round. 
• Note values, including: whole note, half note, quarter note, eighth note; and then, application of these values during various music activities. 
• A variety of music rhythms with handheld percussion instruments alone and with accompaniment.
• Musical timbre, dynamics, and contrast
• Learning about a variety of musical styles and contexts. 
• Discovery of music composition through improvisation games and activities. 

Through the SOCIAL Play that each lesson provides, Children will Develop

• Eye Contact
• Basic social etiquette skills: taking turns, following directions, proper usage of equipment/instruments.
• Emotional Development: Learning to share feelings with others in a socially acceptable way.

INDIVIDUAL Learning Personal Goals will be a Natural Outcome 

• Fine and gross motor control development
• Eye – hand coordination
• Cognitive development
• Language development
• Crossing the midline development

• A musical instrument kit designed for each child to use during any and all  of “My Music! Class” video lessons.
